Continues Improvement DSNG

Continuous improvement is a culture that is constantly advocated by DSN Group to encourage innovations from employees that are expected to be realized and make a real contribution to the company. The realization of this commitment is demonstrated in the active contribution of employees in the QCC (Quality Control Circle) Award, which is held annually by the company. In the implementation of the QCC Period 2021/2022, with the theme “Fostering a Culture of Innovation in Business Processes with IT-based Approaches and Sustainable Practices”, 592 improvement themes were successfully collected in business processes and internal departments or divisions.

The winners of the QCC Award 2021/2022 then represented DSN Group in the national competition, namely the TKMPN (National Quality and Productivity Workshop), which took place on November 21-25, 2022 in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. TKMPN (National Quality and Productivity Workshop) is an annual national activity in the field of quality and work productivity organized by Wahana Kendali Mutu (WKM) in collaboration with the Indonesian Association for Quality Management and Productivity (AMMPI), and supported by the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower and the Indonesian Ministry of Industry, the Government of West Nusa Tenggara, and other professional organizations.

TKPMN 2022 was attended by 1,300 participants from 113 companies in Indonesia with a total of 370 teams divided into 13 streams. At this event, DSN Group received 2 awards, namely the Diamond category award with an innovative theme “Efficiency in Material Usage for Flange Fabrication” from the palm plantation business unit and the Silver category award with an innovation theme “Increasing the Recovery Factor (RF) of Corebuilder in the Plywood Product Process” from the wood product business unit.

DSN Group’s success in winning these awards for the first time strengthens their commitment to continue creating sustainable innovations that can be absorbed by the national industry.

People Development DSNG

To support business needs, DSN Group continuously develops its employees to build a learning culture through various competency development programs. DSN Group’s programs use an integrated approach with the 70-20-10 principle, designed to meet the individual needs of employees, the organization, and short- and long-term business goals. This is done to build the company’s human resources capabilities to remain competent and relevant.

EIFFEL – Excellent Future Leader Program

The Eiffel “Excellent Future Leader” Trainee program has reached its peak, marked by a graduation celebration with the theme “Fly High Through the Endless Journey to Become a World-Class Company” held on November 7, 2022. These sixteen Eiffel trainees have undergone a year-long development program.

This event was attended by the Commissioners of DSN Group, the Board of Directors, and Senior Management of DSN Group, as well as Mentors and Coaches from all Business Units of DSN Group both offline and online via video conferencing. DSN Group successfully selected the best participants for the Eiffel Program, which began on November 1, 2021.

In the next phase, the 16 Eiffel Trainees who have graduated are now placed in various streams and SBU as Project Improvement Specialists, with the hope of carrying out their assigned tasks and providing added value to all stakeholders in the company.

DSN Young Talent Program

The DSN Young Talent Development Program (DYTDP) is an annual program of DSN Group, specifically for its palm oil business unit, aimed at seeking young, talented individuals who will be prepared to become part of DSN Group. During the DYTDP program, selected candidates will be given the opportunity to learn and work with specialists in their respective fields, in order to be equipped to face various challenges in the world of work.

Falcataria Management Trainee

The Falcataria Trainee (FT) is a Management Trainee program organized by the DSN Panel Wood Products business unit with the aim of strengthening the organization with new talent to provide innovation in facing new business competition and challenges, as well as shaping them to be ready to become future leaders. In 2022, there were 8 FTs divided into several streams, namely Production, Maintenance, Finance Accounting, R&D, Sales, and Procurement. After undergoing a 10-month training period, the “Graduation Falcataria Trainee” event was held on December 29, 2022, which included the announcement of the program graduates and their placement in various positions within the DSN Panel Wood Products business unit.

Albizia Management Trainee

The Albizia Trainee is a Management Trainee program organized by the DSN Flooring Wood Products business unit with the aim of ensuring the availability of potential leaders at the Unit Head level. In the 2021-2022 period, three Management Trainees were placed in various positions within the process and production departments.

Managerial Development Program

This program is a series of managerial development initiatives for DSN Group employees, aimed at enhancing their knowledge and capabilities in Business Management and People Management. The program is designed based on the 70-20-10 development principle, whereby participants will acquire 70% of their learning through project assignments, 20% through coaching and mentoring sessions, and 10% through in-class training sessions.

Senior Manager Development Program

The DSN Group is organizing a Senior Manager Development Program (SMDP), specifically designed for employees holding the Department Head, Plantation Head, and equivalent levels, with a duration of approximately 5 (five) months.

Manager Development Program

Continuing the Senior Manager Development Program (SMDP), Human Capital is organizing the Manager Development Program (MDP) for the first time in 2022. The program is aimed at DSN Group employees, particularly those in the Estate Head, Mill Head, Section Head, and equivalent levels, with a program duration of approximately 5-6 months.
