Established on September 29, 1980, PT Dharma Satya Nusantara Tbk (DSN) initially focused on the timber industry, obtaining Forest Concession Rights (HPH) from the Government. Over the past 40 years, we have leveraged our extensive industry experience and strong partnerships with our customers, suppliers and local farmers to ensure traceable, responsibly sourced, and inclusive wood materials. Collaborating with over 3,600 farmers in Indonesia, which we proudly source our sustainable wood from to produce our high-quality wood products.

Recognizing the growing demand for palm oil and its derivatives in the global edible oil market, we expanded into the palm oil industry. This strategic move has allowed us to establish ourselves as a prominent player in the sustainable palm oil industry. Today, our palm oil business segment contributes over 80% of our total revenue.

    We commenced a timber processing business with a focus on sawn timber production

  • 1988

    In 1988, the Company became one of the pioneer in the use of sengon wood raw as materials which harvested from local plantations to replace natural forest wood. The use of sengon wood demonstrated the Company’s commitment to anticipate the increasingly of the natural wood as raw materials, as well as to enhance the prosperity of the community and nature preservations.

  • 1991

    In 1991 the Company’s production base was moved from Kalimantan to Java starting with the relocation of factories in Samarinda to Surabaya and to Gresik in 1992. Following the increase in customer trust and demand, the Company continued to grow by establishing a factory in Temanggung, as well as a wood processing plant in Lumajang, East Java and Banyumas in Central Java.

    The wood product business continued to develop into an integrated wood processing company and produces quality wood products for export market. The Company received certificates from various institutions following the higher standards of product quality.

  • 1997

    In 1997, the Company expanded into the palm oil business in Muara Wahau Village, East Kalimantan Province. Starting from development of PT Swakarsa Sinarsentosa, followed by PT Dharma Intisawit Nugraha and PT Dharma Agrotama Nusantara and other subsidiaries to grow into a palm oil industry.

    The planted areas in East Kalimantan continued to expand with a total area of approximately 60,000 hectares, that had become one of the Company’s biggest asset today. In 2002 the Company inaugurated its first Palm Oil Mill in East Kalimantan, with a production capacity of 45 tons of fresh fruit bunches per hour. From East Kalimantan, our palm oil plantation continues to expand to Central Kalimantan and West Kalimantan.

  • 2005

    We completed the construction of the wood processing plant in Kranggan, Temanggung, Central Java, and commenced operations at the factory. We also completed the construction of satellite wood processing plants in Lumajang, East Java, and Banyumas, Central Java. Additionally, we started the production of sawn timber and veneer.

  • 2013

    In June 14, 2013, the Company conducted the initial public offering in Indonesia Stock Exchange, and became public listed company with the ticker code of DSNG.

  • 2018

    At the end of 2018, the Company made a new milestone by acquiring two plantation company located in East Kalimantan. As of the end of 2019, total planted area of the Company has reached more than 112.6 thousand hectares. The Company also operates 10 palm oil mills with the capacity of 570 tons per hour and 1 kernel crushing plant with the capacity of 300 tons per day.

    In wood product segment, the Company has 2 wood processing plants in Central Java which produced wood panel and engineered floorings for export markets.

    Commissioning the first Bio CNG Plant in Indonesia

  • 2021

    Groundbreaking the second Bio-CNG in Muara Wahau, East Kalimantan, which produces 2 x 850 kilowatts electricity and 540 m3/hour bio-CNG.
