Certifications (RSPO, ISPO, ISCC, SCCS)
Certifications provides us a benchmark for our internal operations globally against various national and international sustainability standards and certifications to support the trade of sustainable palm oil.
DSN Group is gradually conducting ISPO certification for all its supplying mills and plantations. Until 2023, there have been 11 mills and 9 plantations (PT SWA, PT DAN, PT DIN, PT DWT, PT PWP, PT BPN, PT KPS, PT AAN, and PT BAS) that have received ISPO certificates. in addition, 7 partnership plantations (scheme smallholders) have also obtained ISPO certificates.
As an RSPO member, DSN Group also carries out RSPO certification for its supplying mills and plantations. Starting from the RSPO certification of PKS1 with PT Swakarsa Sinarsentosa as a supplier plantation in 2013, as of December 2023 it has increased to 10 PKS with 9 plantations (PT SWA, PT DAN, PT DIN, PT BPN, PT BAS, PT PWP, PT KPS, and PT DWT) as supplier plantations. In addition, 10 partnership plantations (smallholder schemes) have also obtained RSPO certificates.
To process the Kernels produced by the palm oil mills, DSN Group also has 1 Crushing Plan (KCP) which has been RSPO SCCS Certified since 2015. This KCP is in one integrated location with our palm oil mill in Wahau, East Kalimantan, therefore it is exclusively supplied with Kernels from our Group’s palm oil mills as well as powered with renewable energy from our Methane Capture plant. Another certification that we are involved in is ISCC certificate, which we already have 1 Mill, Palm Oil Mill 4.
The RSPO and ISPO certifications are also the efforts of DSN Group to always make improvements to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance. Here are the details of the certificate documents that we have obtained.
FUTURE TARGETS
The company commits to achieving 100% RSPO certification of estates and mills by 2024. This is our 5-year certification journey.
