DSN Group partners with smallholders around its operational areas through farmer cooperatives and farmer groups. The cooperatives that we work with can be categorised into 2, namely partnership (scheme smallholder) and external (independent smallholder). DSNG is committed to providing training and capacity building to independent smallholders to achieve this goal, by equipping partner smallholders with the necessary knowledge and skills to implement NDPE policies and best practices in managing their oil palm plantations.

In the 2023 reporting period, the Company provided training to 3,637 smallholders on NDPE and Good Agricultural Practices (GAP). The training also focused on improving smallholders’ understanding of the importance of HSE and respect for human rights in their farming practices. Over time, this training programme will help our supply chain, especially independent smallholders, to comply with NDPE policies.
