| Aligned with our NDPE Policy and commitment to implement it throughout our supply chain, DSN Group has implemented comprehensive measures to protect peatland, unique ecosystems that serve as a critical carbon sink, which store vast amounts of carbon dioxide. Recognizing the importance of peatland preservation, DSN Group has implemented comprehensive measures to protect these valuable ecosystems: Identifying and Preserving Peatlands: We conduct thorough assessments to identify peatland areas within our concessions. We implement the RSPO’s New Planting Procedure and avoid any new development on peatlands, regardless of depth. There are no DSN Group plantation areas located on peatlands. Water Management: We have implemented best practices in water management. We facilitate and train our smallholders supplier to conduct water management, including maintaining water levels in peatlands to prevent the release of stored carbon and minimize the risk of fires. |
