Good Livelihood and Opportunities Development

At DSN Group, we take our responsibility to provide a good livelihood and development opportunities for all our workers and their families seriously. While we comply with the applicable wage requirements in line with government regulations, that comprise basic pay as well as fixed and variable allowances, in all the areas we operate, as a member of RSPO, we are committed to the payment of a Decent Living Wage, aligned with the 2018 RSPO Principles and Criteria (P&C). Criterion 6.2 of the 2018 RSPO Principles and Criteria (P&C) requires that pay and conditions for staff and workers, as well as contract workers, meets that of legal and/or industry minimum standards and are sufficient for providing a Decent Living Wage (DLW).

We expect our suppliers to commit to paying a living wage wherein their wage in a  particular place is sufficient to afford a decent standard of living for the worker and her or his family. Elements of a decent standard of living include food, water, housing, education, health care, transportation, clothing, and other essential needs including provision for unexpected events in accordance to the Global Living Wage Coalition.

Further, in DSN Group employees have the right to equal opportunity and treatment, regardless of race, colour, gender, age, social class, religion, sexual orientation, politics or disability. In 2023, DSN Group is proud to have :

  • Eight women are part of senior management out of a total of fifty people.
  • Two women as members of our Board of Directors, out of a total of eight, as per The Annual Report 2023
  • One woman as a member of our Board of  Commissioners, out of a total of nine, as per The Annual Report 2023
