Protecting Biodiversity and Minimizing Our Environmental Footprint

DSN Group recognize the importance of environmental stewardship and the role we play in minimizing our impact on the planet. Our commitment extends beyond biodiversity protection to encompass a holistic approach that includes reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, waste management, responsible chemical management, and promoting organic and natural regeneration methods. We are dedicated to upholding high environmental management standards, complying with all relevant national and international regulations, and protecting biodiversity in and around our operational areas. Our commitment includes strict compliance, continuous improvement, and monitoring potential threats to conservation areas both within and outside our operational locations.

Recognising the severity of the environmental challenges we face, our company has implemented a Climate Action Plan (CAP) for all Business Units until 2030, as the cornerstone of our strategy to mitigate the impacts of climate change and the opportunities that come with it. This year is also the first year of replanting in our plantations. For us, this is a rare second chance to regenerate and address past issues with what we have learnt so far. Using better quality seedlings, ensuring tree islands and biodiversity corridors in the replanting areas, avoiding areas that are biologically and topographically low yielding, providing access to better mechanisation, and much more.
