Social Responsibility in Residential Environment and Infrastructure

Our plantations are located in remote areas, therefore it is necessary for us to build roads and other supporting infrastructures to support our operations. Frequently the roads we build for our operations will also utilised by the local community for their mobility.

The implementation of social responsibility in the residential environment is focused on providing supporting infrastructures in communities’ residential around the Company’s operational areas that will also enhance the quality of public health and environment for the communities in our area. The Company also builds alternative roads in the palm oil concession area as an effort to ensure the safety and health and comfort of road users that consist of employees, their families and also the local community, as well as mitigate the risk of traffic accidents and health issues from dust pollution.

DSNG supports the village government to maintain inter-village axis roads, build bridges, and support the construction of village government offices as well as village infrastructure such as lighting and clean water distribution facilities. During 2023 the Company spent Rp1.05 billion (a 17% increase from 2022), on infrastructure development and services such as construction and maintenance of inter-village pivot roads, opening of inter-village access roads, construction and maintenance of bridges, and provision of clean water sources.
