Gender Pay Ratio

DSN Group is committed to protecting women’s rights by ensuring a safe and conducive work environment. The Company understands that safe, comfortable, healthy, non-discriminatory, and diversity-respecting work environment is an important asset in increasing the Company’s productivity.

To support this commitment, DSN Group implements the Women Protection Policy (No. 044/DSN/ CHC/III/2021), which includes providing support and facilities for female employees and their families, as well as taking appropriate measures to protect women’s rights in operational areas. To support the implementation of this policy, the Company has established a women’s committee organization and conducted training involving 62 women committee members, representatives from all DSNG subsidiaries in oil palm plantations in East Kalimantan, West Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan.

As part of our commitment to the Women’s Protection Policy, our company has implemented various initiatives to ensure the well-being and safety of women within our workforce. We have taken significant steps in this direction by providing dedicated lactation rooms and separate field toilets, both in portable and permanent forms. In particular, we have constructed permanent toilets across 14 sections in the Muara Wahau region, catering to maintenance employees and oil palm harvesters. These toilet units are thoughtfully designed with separate sections for men and women, ensuring privacy and convenience for all.  By introducing these measures, we aim to create a supportive and inclusive environment that respects the needs and rights of women in our organization.

According to data from International Labor Organizations (ILO) by 18 September 2022 (https://news.un.org/en/story/2022/09/1126901), there remains a persistent issue where women globally earn an average of only 77 cents for every dollar earned by their male counterparts, resulting in a 20% wage gap.

Our company places a strong emphasis on promoting gender equality within the workplace, which is exemplified through our commitment to achieving a balanced gender pay ratio. At DSNG, we ensure that equal opportunities are provided to both male and female employees based on their individual capabilities. We meticulously assess and monitor individual performances to ensure equitable treatment, eradicating any form of bias or discrimination.

Addressing this concerning disparity, DSNG strives to narrow the wage gap between men and women each year. We actively encourage increased participation of female workers within the workforce and aim to place more women in leadership positions. Moreover, we provide ample opportunities for women to access training and development programs, allowing them to enhance their professional growth and expertise. By taking these measures, we are dedicated to fostering a more equitable and inclusive work environment at DSNG.
